Hello! I’m Hannah and I am a writer, scientific communicator and ocean advocate.
Recently I have become a Natural Sciences BSc (Hons) graduate from Lancaster University and currently I am a postgraduate, studying MSc Marine Environmental Management at the University of York. Alongside my blog, I am also a freelance writer for other publications and I want to branch out into broadcasting in the future.
I adore our seas and I’m committed to protecting them, and inspiring others to appreciate their value through education and outreach. You can find out more about me here .
My infatuation with our oceans has taken me on adventures overseas, from the mangroves of the Florida Keys to swimming with loggerhead turtles in the tropical waters of the Cabo Verde islands. This summer I cage-dived with white sharks in Gansbaai, South Africa, volunteering to improve scientific communication focussed on shark conservation.
My next trip will be to Florida investigating the impacts of the red tide in the Gulf of Mexico.
